July Calandar Journal Page

I am running a bit behind this month with my calendar journal page.  I have had the idea for ages just haven't been able to do it as i've been unwell.  But only 1 day late I think is ok!!!

Background was done with Dylusions ink spray with a Tim Holtz background stamp to add a bit of detail and some blending of the colours using Distress Ink pads .  But out the squares of some paper I had lying around and did a couple of lines of machine stitching, then finally finished off with some stamping in 3 different colours using Lavinia stamps.  I did the lettering with rub ons - it didnt work as well as I hoped but all in all I like the end result.

    1. Hi thanks - i knew i wanted to do some stitching and didnt think there was any way i could get my journal into the machine and the small hand held machine only does round the edge. so i decided to do it on a separate sheet and stick it into my journal later. However there was a lot of rolling the page up and some very odd cornering to get it done. But it was easier than i thought it would be!
