This is the front cover of a small journal I started last year. It has 20 pages and I did all the backgrounds in a day, went back another time and added some stamps in the background and ever so often I dip in and finish another page. Each page has a quote or saying on which I like. I think its about half finished.
Love your journal cover! So much inky goodness! Thanks for getting inky with us @ Seriously Creative Challenges!
ReplyDeletewow...love the brightness of this! It has a chalky appearance to me. Is that the lighting or a technique you did?
ReplyDeleteHi Heather - thanks for the comment - i think the chalky look is just the effect of the paint against the type of board that the cover was made from. Cant claim any wonderful secrets unfortunately! x
DeleteOh so check you out........No stopping you now girlfriend. Love this page

ReplyDeleteLovey work.. well done thanks for joining us at Creative Accents Take Care
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea to do lots of pages and gradually go back to them. I also started a Kate Crane type journal diary, but didn't write much in it so only ever did one month, perhaps I should pick that up when the month comes round again! EmG
ReplyDeleteYour journal pages are absolutely fascinating! I love the way you use images and text! I had such a delightful "Scroll" through your blog and enjoyed looking at each inspiring page! This cover is just as lovely and again I love the text you have chosen...thoughts to ponder indeed! I know you have given me plenty of journaling ideas to ponder for sure! Who's inspired? This girl! :)
