Brain trouble!

I have been having problems doing anything creative lately - so this is the first page I have done for a while!!  Unfortunately I struggled with it!! So the saying is most appropriate!

The background was done using paint dabbers on Dylusions leaf stamp to act as a resist.  Then Distress ink blended over the top.  At this point I was loving the page - its after that, that things went wrong.  The bird in the bottom was stamped on with archival ink, painted with a distress watercolour pen then coated with clear rock candy.  I didn't allow for the rock candy distorting the paper as it dried - well you live and learn.  I enjoyed using the rub ons for the writing!!  But generally still not sure if I like it - will go back to it in a few days and see what I think then!!

In case the quote isn't clear it says 'my brain is experiencing technical difficulties normal service may resume shortly'!!  

Weird or what!?!?!?!

Ok this is another page out of my 'thoughts to ponder' book - its rather a weird one - but with some of the words to a song I love - have to say it suited my mood perfectly when I did it!!

The background was done with the old Dylusions paints and sprayed over with one of her old mica sprays!

Timely Reminder'

I haven't been well lately so haven't been able to do any creating but found this page I did a while ago and it acted as a good reminder.  I did this page when I yet again wasn't well and was feeling very sorry for myself - until I got a forcible reminder to be grateful for what I can do and for what I have!!! It could be considerably worse!!

The background is done with Dylusions spray inks and rock salt with a bit of mica spray to add a bit of bling. The images are taken out of a magazine and its finished off with some doodling!

Poetry Book Journal Page

Hi I haven't put anything on for a few days as I have been unwell (my ME (chronic fatigue) has been playing up) and i've been stuck in bed unable to function.  'Im starting to feel a bit better but now I have no where to craft as my lovely hubby is trying to create a bit more room for me to do my Art!!!  

So I thought I would post another page out of my Homage to Browning Journal.  This book cost me £1 and has the poems on the right hand page but the left hand page was blank.  It was damaged and the cover was a bit mouldy but the paper is gorgeous to work with!

This page is done over a poem called 'After Death' and its a bit unusual for me.  I keep going back to it thinking I will do more to it, but never end up doing so - I think it my stay like this!

Background done with Dylusions sprays and then used a distress stamp pad to blend through a stencil - then a light spritz of perfect pearl mist.  It loses a bit in the picture from real life!

Weird, I know, but for those of you who dont know - I like Weird!!!

This is a journal page I did about a year ago but I find I some times go back and add just little bits of detail.  It's nice revisiting previously finished pages.

Upside down

Hi I did this page last year - but came across it again today and it feels quite relevant at the moment - Im just waiting for things to get back to the the right way up!  Hope its soon!

I did this while visiting my mum and she wanted to know how I did my pages.  I only had a few things with me so was limited what I could do - didnt want to spray ink on her carpet!!  So used Paint dabbers for the background and even put paint through stencils which I cleaned off onto the page using a baby wipe!!  Images out of a magazine.

Flower journal page

This page was done in my 'Homage to Browning' book - the background was Dylusions spray inks and the flowers were Dys stamps coloured with the sprays! Oh and i think the quote might be one of hers as well!!

Thoughts to ponder book - 'The 3 R's'

Ok I know this is out of order as this is the last page (except the inside back cover which isn't finished yet) in my 'thoughts to ponder' book but it really applys at the moment so I thought I would post it.

And obviously Im hoping after I have applied the 3 R's that I will end up looking like she does!!

4 Calendar Journal Pages

I realised that I have put on the calendar journal page for May so it might be an idea to put on the other 4 from when I started at the beginning of the year.   So here they are!

Ive rather surprised myself because I have actually filled all of them in so they look rather different now with all my writting on them!!  I Have been doing them in all my different journals - but I realised rather belatedly that it was not a good idea!!! I can never find them!   So I will keep them in one journal from now on!  Ok must away and make my first entry into May's page!

Thoughts 2 Ponder

This is the front cover of a small journal I started last year.  It has 20 pages and I did all the backgrounds in a day, went back another time and added some stamps in the background and ever so often I dip in and finish another page.  Each page has a quote or saying on which I like.  I think its about half finished.
