Monthly Calendar Journal page - May

Hi I have been doing a monthly calendar Journal page in some of my journals since January, when I attended  a workshop at Art From The Heart  done by Kate Crane.  I do each page in whatever style I like and then fill in each day as a mini journal.  The pages I have done so far this year seem to be a bit gloomy and seem to have quite a grungy feel, so this month I decided I would make sure that I did something much Brighter.  I think I might have gone a bit overboard!!!  It feels like a christmas page on steroids!!!!

I used 4 Dylusions sprays for the background and painted the circles with ranger paint dabbers.
I think it might need a brightness button so that I can turn it down a bit!  LOL x

Do you know

Hi again this journal page was one I did when I was in a bit of a whimsical mood!!  I did the background months before I finished the page - it was made using spray inks water and rock salt!!!  I liked it so much that I kept looking at it and loving it but never getting round to finishing the page!!! But when I did finally decide to use it I had know idea what to put on it.  So I looked in my trusted box of cut outs, from magazines, downloads, old images etc and started shuffling pieces around till this is what I ended up with!!!  Weird Huh! but I think she looks like shes enjoying herself!!  The stamped leaves and bird needless to say came from Dylusion Stamps.  You will here that a lot from me because its Dyan Reaveley who got me started on this altered art, messy, inky road so expect me to repeat it a lot!!!

Spread your wings

Hi this is a journal page where I have mixed all sorts of different elements and put them on a background done with spray inks which I also used to paint with.
I have entered this page into the April challenge - inks and stains on on the A Seriously Creative Challenge Blog

Stuart

Hi this is a page I did in one of my old ledgers.  The background is done with dylusions spray inks and water and the border stamps are also from the Dylusions stamp range.  'Stuart' who is a digi download from The Octopode Factory on etsy and I printed him different sizes onto acetate then colour his spots. The leaves were coloured using a waterbrush and ink and I did a wash over the alphabet with water and inktense blocks.

I'm feeling good

Ok I have only just set up this blog page so I have no idea what I am doing, so please excuse any mistakes.  I have set it up primarily so that I can put on pictures of any of the art journaling work that I do.  So here is a page I did a while ago and have just come across and found that I still really like it and I thought it was a nice positive start to my blog!!
