Do it with Style

Wow second post of the day - must be a record!! Just a quick one.  I have made a tag to put into a challenge on one of the facebook groups I belong to.
I know its a shock - I normally only do journal pages but I can do other stuff - honest!!
I stamped on a manilla tag with the water droplets stamp made by Ryn - a super talented lady who designs and makes these stamps!  I stamped using a clear embossing pad and used clear embossing powder on the top.  This acted as a resist for the distressed ink pads I blended over the top to give the tag its colour.
I stamped one of the Dylusions mini couture stamps, which I doodled stripes and spots on and coloured with Dylusion inks.
The quote and some ribbon and the job was done.

Another Month Ends!!

Today has been a great day for two reasons - 1. the sun was shining and there was some heat to it!! yeah!!! 2. I actually got some crafting done!
I went to a class at the beginning of the month with Kate Crane - 'drawing in your journal' and as always I enjoyed the day, Kate is a great teacher.  I didn't get my page finished on the day but it is finished now!

I used a background that I had done in one of my old ledgers a year or more ago where I had wanted to have a play around with texture.  However the paste I had was so old it was solid, but we did have some decorators caulking in the shed so I thought I would give that a try.  I spread it through the bunting stencil with a palette knife and it dried nice and matte.  Once it was dry I sprayed over the ink sprays.  It took the ink very nicely and gave me not only the raised texture but the lovely variation in colour.  I sprayed through some more stencils to give the extra  detail.
So after we had drawn out figures in class I was going to make a background for her to go on, but when I saw her on this one I didn't bother doing a new one.
I think I'm quite pleased with her and really should find the time to do more drawing but like everything else it will get added onto the never ending list of things I want to do more off!!
Wishing all of you a very creative spring - If it ever gets here!!! hee hee.

Mad dash blog page!!

Ok I have about 10 minutes to do this page so here goes.
This page was made from a mop up background which I had ended up with after doing 2 other pages.
whilest at Journaling class at the beginning of the month. We were playing with Dyan Reaveleys new Couture Collection stencils.  Having done the majority of the two other pages I  had cleaned off the 'Bert' stencil onto this mop up page.  Once I finished cleaning off the stencil, several times, I realised this page just begged to be finished.  So I did!
So background was Dylusions ink sprays and some random stamping, (I did add a bit more after I had put Bert on) some doodling round the edge, a quote and some stickles and perfect pearls paint and he was finished.
Hope you all get lots of time this week to be creative.
Have fun.

PS managed it within the 10 mins - yeah!!!
